Speakers / Performers

Terry Baxter

On January 1, 1996, Rev. Terry Baxter, his wife Debby and their seven children joined International Messengers based in Clear Lake, Iowa. They came with the purpose of launching a church renewal and evangelistic crusade ministry called Messengers of Hope.

Terry has a degree in Evangelism from Moody Bible Institute and has served as senior pastor of four churches over a period of nineteen years. Ordained in the Evangelical Free Church, he is an anointed speaker and has ministered in numerous interdenominational renewal and evangelistic services across North America and Eastern Europe.

God is using Messengers of Hope as a catalyst to bring revival and awakening to churches and communities across North America. There are abundant testimonies of people set free from sin and bitterness, marriages strengthened, congregations reconciled and entire communities hearing the gospel through this ministry. To God be the glory, great things He has done!

Pastor Joe Boerman

Joe became a Christ-follower at Crescent Lake Bible Camp when he was thirteen years old. A few years after that, he felt the call of God to be a pastor while at camp as well. He is Sr. Pastor of Immanuel Church in Gurnee, Illinois where he has served for 21 years. He’s a graduate of Grand Rapids School of the Bible and Music, Bethel College (BA), Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (MA, DMin) in Deerfield, Illinois

Joe and his wife, Debbie, have three grown children, Nate, Krista and Erika, and two grandchildren, Ceana and Wrigley. Deb is a women’s Bible teacher and avid swimmer. Joe enjoys helping struggling churches turn around and has a variety of hobbies. Joe and Deb motorcycled together for 25 years, taking trips to Colorado, Maine, South Carolina and everywhere in between. They have experienced short-term mission work in Nigeria, Argentina, Philippines, Guatemala and Mexico.

Pastor Steve Corbett

"I trusted Christ as my Savior May 13, 1968 in my dorm room at the University of Illinois.  Although I had been exposed to religion (confirmation in the Methodist Church, Billy Graham Crusades, a David Wilkerson Crusade and Young Life) I never understood that a person must trust the Person and the Work of Christ. Don Clark, a Navigator, presented the gospel to me, I believed, and Don began to disciple me.  I continued working with the Navigators from May, 1968 to November, 1972.  I was baptized by immersion in the Twin Cities Bible Church in Urbana, Illinois."

He applied to Dallas Seminary - and no where else - because the school had a reputation for a strenuous education in Biblical languages.  He was accepted and completed his Master of Theology degree in 1977.  We went on to complete a Doctors in Ministry degree in 1986.

He is currently serving as the Pastor of Grace Bible Church in Portage, Wisconsin.  He is married to Rita and has three adult children:  Eric, Cari and Kati.

Pastor Anthony "Tony" Fleming

I'm very talkative, it is actually something I have been trying to work on. I love Christ, he has changed my life and I have seen thousands of others that can say the same. He is the cornerstone of my life. I left the emptiness of my life behind and have found fulfillment in him.

I love playing tennis but don't play as much anymore. I love also weightlifting but I have run out of time to do that as much as well.  I work for a ministry as a web developer and I am working for other ones as well. I may also be starting soon as a web consultant.

Pastor Fleming is currently working with youth through Faith Christian Church in Mauston, Wisconsin.  He is married to Jessica Fleming.

Pastor Tim Godfrey

Pastor Tim Godfrey is the Senior Pastor at Fox River Baptist Church in Appleton, Wisconsin.  A native West Virginian, both Pastor Godfrey and his wife Becky moved to the Fox Valley in June 1998 where they became active church members.

Pastor Tim has been in ministry since 1993 and has been on staff at Fox River Baptist since 2000.  He is new to the Crescent Lake Bible Camp family but comes highly recommended by our partners in ministry.

Kneel

Since forming as a group, Kneel has led worship for summer camps as well as their hometown church (Fall Creek, Wisconsin). Kneel’s worship style is focused on playing songs and music that make it easier for people to step into the presence of God. The music is guitar-driven, providing modern music that focuses the worshiper on God.

Rev. Dr. Armand L. Weller

Rev. Dr. Armand Weller has a Masters Degree in Divinity from Lancaster Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. of Philosophy in Ministry from International Seminary in Plymouth, Florida.  He is serving as the Senior Pastor of The Church by the Sea in Madeira Beach, Florida.

Rev. Dr. Weller has served as the Executive Director of the Biblical Witness Fellowship; the Director of Ministries for Focus Renewal Ministries; in addition to serving as a teacher and educator at churches around the country.  He has hosted daily radio broadcasts while at the Jesus Focus Ministry, Inc. of Doylestown, PA; has written (and continues to write) daily devotional studies on the Bible and has spent years developing churches and church leadership.

He is the author of The Jesus Method, A Study of the Book of Acts, A Study of the Book of Genesis, A Study of the Gospel of John and many magazine articles and curriculum pieces.
